I’m revamping these tracks and hauling the recordings out of the Stone Age (about 20 years ago) as gracefully as possible. My kids and extended family have loved the originals for years, so it’s… a delicate negotiation when the new versions don’t always include my voice. The aim is to preserve the songs—the structure, lyrics, and melodies—while updating the sound. Some Psalngs stay largely intact, some are rebuilt, some get a light lyric tune-up, and a few were retired because they no longer fit the heart of the project.
